What does OPITO FOET mean?
The Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organisation (OPITO) is a not-for-profit, industry-led organization that develops and delivers global standards of competence and improves safety for the oil and gas industry.
The Further Offshore Emergency Training (FOET), on the other hand, is an approved OPITO training course that is conducted over a period of one day.
It is a continuation of the Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET) or Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST) and is required to be completed within four years of the last BOSIET or MIST certification.
