This course is designed to train personnel in the proper actions involved in taking command of launching, and handling of a survival craft during an emergency evacuation/abandonment.

Certification & Revalidation
A written exam is administered to evaluate student retention of information. Successful candidates will receive a certificate upon completion.

Performance drills with immersion suits

In water survival skills:
Helicopter underwater egress drills
Lifeboat characteristics and equipment
Lifeboat davits, winches and releasing mechanisms
Task during abandonment
Actions after abandonment
Boat handling and seamanship
Recovery of lifeboats
Performance drills in launching, operating and recovery of lifeboats
Rescue boat operations
Rowing lifeboat commands and operations
Performance drills in rowing operations
