Course Overview
This US Coast Guard – approved course is designed to provide delegates with training in safe launch and recovery operations and rescue of personnel who have fallen overboard or are in peril at sea. The course covers boat handing, course plotting and search and rescue.

Target Audience
Seafarers who are required to take charge of survival craft or rescue boat in emergency situations during and after launch

Certification & Revalidation
STCW/Coast Guard approved certificates will be issued upon successful completion of the course. No revalidation required.

This course is delivered at Texas A&M University's Galveston Maritime Academy

Items to Bring
Students will need to bring a valid photo ID, a towel, closed-toe shoes for boat exercises and a change of clothing.
