Department of Transportation (DOT) Hazardous Materials Training

DOT Hazardous Material Training Overview

The foundations of delivering hazardous chemicals by ground are covered in our DOT Hazmat course. As part of the process of preparing a hazardous material for shipment, we cover all of the necessary operations. Hazardous materials will be classified, packaging will be selected, and shipping paperwork will be prepared in line with applicable rules. In the course, changes made in the last year are highlighted. It is a requirement of the United States Department of Transit (USDOT) that anybody who handles hazardous goods undergoes training. This includes those who ship or receive hazardous products as well as those who prepare them for transportation.
